MDM 3 Series
Automated pouch verification, cutting and sorting
Quick, accurate and efficient
Insight in production data
For excellent and efficient pouch verification we present the MDM 3 series system which offers fully automated cutting, winding and sorting of large batches of pouch rolls.
High-speed and accurate checking in the most efficient way
The MDM 3 series automatically checks the content of every medicine pouch and compares it against the prescribed medicines. The MDM 3 reads the pouch bar code and quickly and accurately checks several variables, such as the shape, colour and number of pills. Furthermore, the process flow of the system is set up in such a way that the customer can use it as efficiently as possible. Reviewing the pouches is made easy with smart functions in the software and a user-friendly user interface. By using specific algorithms and pill types, we have been able to reduce the ‘false alarm rate’ (pouches that are falsely alarmed) in the system. This makes the Global Factories pouch verification systems the most efficient on the market.
Completely automated process
The MDM Winder collects the pouches as they leave the detection machine in a single, smooth process that matches the speed of the MDM output. The MDM Winder automatically separates any patient rolls that needs to be reviewed, making the review process more efficient.
Pouch supervision and excellent traceability
Our Pouch Review software provides detailed results for the verification process, highlighting the pouches that require review and allowing instant access to data for all pouches. Reports can be printed or exported, and repaired pouches can be registered by capturing a new image at the Repair Station. Also, innovative software enables the usage of the data connected to the bar code in different processes after the medication rolls have left the pharmacy. Such data can be crucial for the pharmacist, for example in case of a medication recall. It can also be used to optimize the process even more with detailed information about the production and potential delays in the packing process.
“The world’s first machine for pouch verification. Checking over 3 million pouches every day, worldwide.”
